The Renault Laguna has a choice of engines from 1.6 16v, 1.8 and a 2.0 16v delivering 140 bhp. There is a 1.9 Diesel 120bhp version as well as a 2.2 dCi version. Good fuel economy from both petrol and diesel units and long intervals between major services. Good company car option due to low CO2 emissions.

The new Renault Laguna is very well-equipped as standard with the above normal additions like tyre pressure monitor and keyless entry. The interior is comfortable with a decent amount of space, quiet cruiser and capable on most road surfaces. Remote central locking, deadlocks, immobiliser and an alarm as standard help with insurance.

Service intervals on the Laguna are 18,000 miles (major) and 9000 miles (minor). Mechanical warranty is three years and bodywork of 12 years.
