Renault Megane CC Cabriolet has a folding hard all glass roof and a choice of 1.6 or 2.0-litre petrol units and a 120 bhp turbo diesel 1.9dCi and is fitted with a six speed gearbox.

The driving position is high in the Megane Cabriolet and with the roof up the boot is very generous although it does diminish with the roof down.

The trim levels vary with the base level Extreme having the lowest equipment spec but still gets the electric roof. The top spec Privilege is very well equipped and even gets satellite-navigation.

The Renault Megane has been awarded a top five-star Euro NCAP rating ABS with EBD and Brake Assist and there are six airbags plus a rigid body with a reinforced windscreen surround, and roll hoops. Additional pop up roll over protection can be specified.

Service intervals on the new Megane are 18,000 miles and three years or 60,000 miles manufacturer warranty.
